My nails are normally of the teeny tiny stubby squared off variety but I’ve recently had the opportunity to grow them out into full blow Tyrannosaurus Rex claws. It’s amazing and terrifying and ridiculously impractical all at the same time.
Behold my dinosaur claws of the week!
At the time that I’m writing this, I’ve actually chopped these suckers short again but I have a whole new respect for folks with perpetually long nails. These aren’t even that long compared to what some people rock and I still felt like I needed a man around to open the pickle jars. I mean seriously, I was kind of helpless.
Essie Bikini So Teeny is the perfect blue. It has a great formula, it walks the line between blue and purple, it has just a subtle hint of shimmer and it applies and wears beautifully. It’s definitely on my list of favorite polishes.
The Sally Hansen Pearl Crush line is a limited edition Summer 2015 collection. Shell & Tell is incredibly pretty but kind of a bugger to work with. I did have to fish for glitters and once I did pick up a glitter, repositioning it would smear the base polish underneath (even though it was completely dry before the glitter was applied). It also took forever to dry and had more bubbles (you can see them in the pictures) than I’ve ever experienced with any polish before. It looked great with BST but I have no plans to purchase any of the other colors in this range.
What are you wearing on your nails this week? Are you a glamorous long nails kind of person or do you live the short nail life?
