Over the Edge is part of Essie’s permanent collection and the Essie website describes it as
a dramatic metallic midnight silver.
This nail polish is on the thin side and requires three coats for full opacity. I think I could have benefitted from a fourth coat in all honesty. Despite being a tad watery, this applies evenly and with very little fuss and it dries quickly. The only issue I have with application is that it’s incredibly easy to flood your cuticles.
I applied three coats over Essie Fill the Gap and used Seche Vite top coat. This did have more tip wear than other polishes and was a little more prone to chipping. I got about two days of perfect nails before I experienced tip wear and about three days before I experienced minor chipping. I did wear this for a full five days and thought it still looked ok for the last two.

I love this shade!
Me too! It’s like a vampy neutral with a little umph 🙂
