I mentioned previously that ILNP released two summer collections this year. From The Summer 2016 Collection I managed to show some restraint and only bought one shade. Not so much restraint was shown with the 2016 Summer Shimmers Collection. I might have purchased all but one shade. Maybe. So the first shade that we’ll look at from this collection is Wallflower.

I have to say that this isn’t my favorite shade in the collection. Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty but it doesn’t really wow me. I think I was expecting something a little bit more purple. Honestly I feel like I should love it and I’m not quite sure why I don’t.
The photos above are three coats of Wallflower over OPI Nail Envy and topped with Seche Vite top coat. The ring finger does have a coat of Valentina over it.
Wallflower did wear well with no real wear showing after a week.

The shimmer makes this less boring but yeah, I guess I expected something that packs a bigger punch from ILNP. I like the effect you got on the ring finger with Valentina over it.
I completely agree with you. It’s pretty but not particularly interesting. I’m looking forward to playing around with Valentina to see how it transforms other “meh” shades!
This is a nice colour of periwinkle, although it looks more of a special shade with Valentina on top. It’s one of those polishes that look more unique in the bottle than on the fingers – but still pretty nonetheless!
Exactly! I think I would love it more if it looked the same in the bottle as it does on the fingers. I had false expectations 🙂
Definitely a periwinkle! I would most likely layer this polish over top of something else to help it stand out!
