Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow (Mirror) in No. 82, Hollywood’s Calling

Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow Mirror, Hollywood’s Calling No. 82. I’m not 100% sure about this, but I think that might be the longest product name yet. Ridonkulous name aside, Hollywood’s Calling is an eyeshadow so beautiful that I’m at a loss for words to describe it. Luckily, I have pictures, lots and lots of pictures. Woo hoo!

That pigmentation though! The swatch on the right is a single swipe of product, the one on the left is my usual three swipes.

Swatch on the left is a the built up finger swatch with a single pass and the swatch on the right is blended out in a somewhat failed attempt to show the shiny.

This shadow changes so much depending on the angle of the light and it’s gorgeous no matter how you look at it.

On the eye, this shadow almost gives a glossy wet look. It is easy to build up and it also blends out beautifully.

Wear time: This does start to crease slightly after about 6 hours but it isn’t anything you would notice if you weren’t very close and trying to tell whether or not my eyeshadow is creasing. In which case, could you just take a step back? You’re making me very uncomfortable. I have not worn this over a primer but I would imagine that would take care of any creasing.

Pricing and Availability: Obviously this is available at Sephora. It retails for $12.00 for .07oz. Honestly, this strikes me as a little pricey for a store brand eyeshadow but in this particular instance, maybe it’s worth it? Although, can we just take a minute to talk about Sephora? Is it just me or have they become much more pricey in general? They seem to be carrying more and more high end brands and all of their promotions are kind of lack luster lately. Is it just me?

Overall: I LOVE THIS EYESHADOW. It’s amazingly beautiful on and it’s so glittery it makes my teeth hurt. It’s just really really good. I do want to mention that I swatched all of the other Mirror finish eyeshadows in store and while they were very shimmery and pretty, none of them were quite as magical as Hollywood’s Calling.

Do you have this eyeshadow? Have you tried other items in the Sephora brand lineup?

Tidbits:

  • I just slathered myself in Fortune Cookie Soap’s Butter Beer Whipped Cream Body Butter and it smells SO GOOD. But I’m also starting to feel a little drunk because it’s really heavy on the rum note.
  • I also just lost 30 minutes of my life to browsing that website. I need Cotton Candy scented things in my life.

  1. What a beautiful, beautiful shade!! ❤ Can't live without one good shiny brown shade in your life. I've never been to Sephora, but I always assumed it was the really expensive store. Is it just me, or have makeup prices in general gone up?

Oh man, that body butter sounds wonderful. ❤

    1. You’re totally right, it has always been expensive, but it seems like it’s become even worse. And makeup in general has definitely become more expensive! That new loreal palette is TWENTY FREAKING DOLLARS! For drugstore eyeshadow! I only paid $30 something for my first Kat von D palette (those are expensive too now though). It’s insane. And a new highlighter just came out at the drugstore and it’s $13! I know in the grand scheme of things $13 isn’t a lot really but for makeup it kind of is.

      Ok, rant over.

And the body butter really is nice! I STILL smell good and it’s been nearly 24 hours!
