Just to shake things up a bit, today I’m going to get right to the point, so let’s look at lipstick! Yay!
Those are some high quality swatches right there. This is one of my favorite lip combinations of all time. It just makes me happy.MAC Snapdragon alone. This is a limited edition shade from MAC’s Fantasy of Flowers collection this last Spring or Summer. If you have this lipstick and don’t want it, let me know, I will totally buy it from you or swap something for it. I love this shade.MAC Lip Liner in Magenta applied with no lipstick. MAC lip liners are not my favorite formula. They tend to be a dry and slightly hard formula which means that there is a lot tugging during application. They tend to suck the life out of my lips as you can see from their texture here. BUT THE COLOR! Ugh, so pretty.Out of all of the formulas of glossy balm stain type products on the market, Revlon’s is my favorite. It still has that weird glossy stain smell but it isn’t as strong as the products from Maybelline or L’oreal. While I don’t find these to be drying, they make my lips feel a little pruney after a while. The same feeling my fingers get if I’m in a pool or bathtub for a long time. It’s not uncomfortable but it is weird.Jordana just released a new line of lipstick called The Modern Matte Lipstick and Matte Bare is the first shade I picked up. I liked it so much that I may have gone back to Walgreens and purchased…a lot of them. I have a problem. This wasn’t drying, wore well for a couple of hours and is a beautiful color. So far, I’m really digging it.I finally got around to wearing the much talked about Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice this week. The formula of this lipstick feels very silicone like in texture. It wasn’t drying and was relatively comfortable and light on the lips. I do get a weird balling up of the product on my lips after reapplication. It’s not a big deal I guess but it’s not attractive. Overall I fell pretty “meh” about this lipstick. It’s nice. It’s not awesome though. If you’re interested in a more comprehensive review, just let me know.OK so this isn’t a lipstick. But I did wear this all day on Monday and I feel it’s worth a mention. I keep a tube of the original Agave Lip Mask by my bed to use at night and I LOVE it. I feel that the Champagne shade isn’t quite as comforting but it’s still pretty darn good. I often will switch from lipstick in the morning to Lip Mask in the afternoon if I’m having a particularly difficult time with dry lips (which is often). This is a really thick formula so not everyone will love it but it’s not sticky so it doesn’t bother me.
That’s it, another week in lipstick! I really enjoy these small bursts of mini reviews. What lipstick did you wear this week? Do you get totally bummed out when you have a limited edition product that you love? Maybe the solution to that is to stop buying limited edition things but I have no self control. Speaking of which, you can see the results of my lack of self control in my upcoming post about the Jordana Modern Matte lipstick. I may as well swatch them all right?

I am wearing Touch of Spice today! I have been doing mostly nudes this week, Urban Decay Naked liner (old formula) and lipstick (new formula.) I can’t go for their Naked without a slightly darker lipliner. I’ve also fallen in love with Urban Decay F-Bomb. So perfect pinup red and on me it actually stays put!
You have good lipstick picks! I havent tried the Naked lipstick yet because it just looked a tad pale for me, but maybe it would work with a darker liner and i do love the revolution formula. And can we just take a minute to talk about how stunning F-bomb is? The perfect red! And it doesnt bleed either! I have one of the rimmel apocolypse things in a similar shade and its so beautiful but man do those things smell bad.

That’s strange, I’ve never heard of anyone experiencing Touch of Spice balling up on reapplication. I own it myself, but haven’t worn it as much as Divine Wine, and I’ve never had any “balling up” with any of them o.O maybe it reacted with you lip balm or something?
Thats completely possible! It’s such a pretty color though so i’ll have to experiment with it a bit more. I’m also wondering if i got a weird tube or something because it almost feels a little…gritty maybe? No one else has mentioned that either.
