Urban Decay Moondust Palette
This is one of those palettes that I swatch every time I’m in Ulta. Then I pick it up and carry it around while I shop and ultimately put it back on the shelf. I just can’t justify paying $49.00 for a palette of just glitter. BUT…Sephora recently had this on their Weekly Wows list for $24.50 and I can totally justify that.
Urban Decay Naked Illuminated – Aura
This is another one of those products that I’ve been swatching for ages but never purchased. When I got the 20% Ulta coupon I thought that seemed like a great time to test it out.
Sheseido Facial Cotton
This is one of those boring items that I don’t love purchasing so I tend to buy it when there’s a sale happening. Very soft facial cotton. Much good. So wow.
NYX DuoChromatic Lipgloss in Fairplay and Booming
I am a sucker for all things iridescent, holographic and duochrome. Makeup companies have been having a field day with marketing to me over the last year.
Dior High Fidelity Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette – 657 Expose
I have a Dior quint that was a limited edition holiday release from several years ago. It’s one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time and it’s the most perfect formula. I’ve always wanted to try another Dior quint but these things are stupid expensive. We’re talking $62.00 expensive. That makes me feel queasy just thinking about it. So when there was a sale at Nordstrom’s AND I had a gift card, I decided to bite the bullet and try another palette. I have to say, I have regrets. My limited edition palette is amazing. Expose…not so much. I’ll for sure do a review on this but I can tell you right now that there’s no way in hell that this is worth the insane price tag. There are drugstore palettes that are better. I’m super salty about it in case you couldn’t tell.
Becca Light Chaser Highlighter – Opal Flashes Jade
How gorgeous is that box? I love it! Becca products have been seeing some seriously discounted prices lately. This was on sale for $17.00 so I snagged it. So far, I’m liking it but it’s not blowing my mind.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask and Agave Lip Balm
The Bite Agave Lip Mask is my holy grail lip product. I love it. The balm is good too but not as magical as the lip mask. When I have discounts I tend to re-stock on these since they’re both daily staples for me.
Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick in Lover

Jouer Funfetti Long-Wear Lip Topper
Funfetti is a limited edition release for the holidays and all the amazing photos on Instagram proved too much for me to resist. I’m still in the early stages of testing out the Jouer lip gloss formula but so far I’m loving it. This particular shade is pretty gritty, but totally amazingly glittery.
Jouer Best Of Lip Topper Collection
This particular collection of mini’s is a limited edition but I think all of the individual shades are permanent. It comes with Stardust, Sugar Plum (LOVE this shade), Frost Bite, Rose Gold, St. Tropez, Tan Lines and Skinny Dip. These glosses do seem to last pretty well for a gloss and they’re not at all sticky. I’ll do some proper testing and report back.
Fyrinnae Eyeshadows
Fyrinnae came out with a new line of multi-chrome shades. I can say that the whole multi-chrome thing is surprisingly amazing. I’m not so sure about the formula of the shadows yet but the colors are insanely unique.
From the new line of Exquisites: Stained Glass, Symphonic, Through the Prism and Ravishing. From the existing lines: Pyromantic Erotica, Intergalactic Bookstore and the gift with purchase was a highlight called In The Spotlight.
Sephora Points Redemption
I seldom end up redeeming my Sephora points because, quite frankly, their point perks suck. I have no real desire to redeem points for what essentially amounts to free samples. The whole system is dumb. But occasionally they’ll have sample sizes of makeup that I’ve been wanting to try but that I’m not actually willing to buy. Totally the case here. So I went with Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (not a fan so far), Tom Ford Lipstick in Indian Rose (beautiful color! Possibly not such a beautiful formula), and Burburry Lip Velvet Long Lasting Matte Lip Colour in Oxblood (shorten it up Burburry! Ain’t nobody got time fo’ that!).

Oooh a Dior quint – I’ve always been curious about them but never found one where I’d use at least 3 to 4 of the 5 shades. Too bad this one you got isn’t stellar – I have heard they’re hit and miss. Can you return it?
The Becca Highlighter in Opal Flashes Jade looks so pretty in theory but it seems too subtle to really matter that it flashes jade?
I redeemed a few 100 points from Sephora and I THOUGHT I had grabbed that Tom Ford lipstick but I clicked the wrong option and redeem for a Clinique facial mist instead. BOO. 😦 But I’m secretly pleased that you don’t love the formula. Tell me what’s wrong with the formula?

I think I’ll keep the quint (although I tossed around the idea of returning it). It isn’t terrible, it just seems like standard drugstore quality which is a bummer since you expect more with such a high price tag. The colors are pretty enough and with a primer I think I’ll have better luck.
The Jade shift on the Becca highlighter IS kind of subtle. I actually really like that in this case though. I have the ABH Moondust palette and the green highlight is SO pretty! But green on my cheeks is a little sickly looking. I find the Becca one to be subtle enough to avoid the sickly look but still green enough to be really unusual and pretty. I guess it all depends on what level of color you want (and whether the whole funky shade of highlight actually works with your skin tone).
Sad about missing out on the Tom Ford sample! It’s actually not a bad formula, but I think there’s some ingredient that irritates my lips just a tad. It looks amazing in the morning but when I re-apply after lunch it goes weird and patchy and feels uncomfortable. Now that’s all based off of a single use so it’s not a set in stone opinion. But I suspect there’s some sort of sunscreen in it maybe? Lip products with sunscreen often behave that way for me. If you weren’t sensitive to whatever ingredient I doubt there would be an issue. I’ll definitely have to wear it more and get a better idea. I feel so luxe wearing a Tom Ford lipstick so I really want to love it! lol

Too bad about your reaction with the Tom Fort lipstick. I’m still curious about trying a Tom Ford lipstick (or any of his makeup, for that matter) one of these days. I just feel the need to be informed when I declare, “Tom Ford makeup is overpriced for what it is.” 😛
